Decorative Furnishings Associations (DFA) had a long-standing goal to promote the value of design and education in the design industry.
DFA conceptualized a new and exciting way to help promote education while also filling a much needed gap in the design industry – a designer matchmaking service that would:
(a) Emphasize the important role of interior designers and
(b) Encourage the public’s use of interior designers.
DFA crowd sourced this great idea and successfully raised money in excess of $100,000 of to create DoItFor Achivement (DIFA) – an independent not-for-profit business league formed for the purpose of brining educational resources to the Design Community.
As conceptualized by DFA, DIFA then created DoItFor – a wholly owned subsidiary DIFA, to operate this matchmaking website. As such, profits generated by DoItFor that are not reinvested in DoItFor will be given to DIFA to support DIFA’s educational mission.
